Sometimes people just get “in your face.” 

The expression suggests that someone is addressing you in a bold aggressive manner or perhaps in a way that invades your personal space.  We will explore a Biblical story that is really “in your face.”

We can change the world, one step at a time! The very first Change The World weekend occurred April 24-25, 2010. More than 100,000 people from over 1,000 churches participated. Sylvania First held our first event in Toledo's North End where over 60 people worked on four sites doing yard work, painting, carpentry and more. It was a rewarding experience where not only were the home owners blessed, but so were we who served. Our next Change the World event is coming September 18th. The Men’s Group at Sylvania First United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Chicken BBQ Dinner on Saturday, September 25th from 5 to 7 pm.   Dinner includes 1/2 barbequed chicken, baked beans, baked potato, the Men’s Group special-recipe cole slaw, roll, a beverage, and of course...homemade desserts! Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children (12 and under).  Carryout will be available.  Please mark your calendar!
